Become a Volunteer Massage Practitioner

We are seeking massage therapists to join our community of service-oriented volunteers. CTI offers chair massage in shelters, drop-in centers, and other service sites, expanding access to healing touch for people often excluded from care.

Why volunteer with CTI

  • Gain hands-on experience in trauma-informed care

  • Reconnect with the intention to serve

  • Offer meaningful support through compassionate, relationship-based work

This work goes beyond technique. Many clients have experienced trauma, and our settings can be dynamic. We prioritize safety and seek therapists who are grounded, compassionate, and adaptable.

Volunteer commitment

  • Two-hour shift every other week

  • 4–6 month minimum, with option to continue

Eligibility

  • CAMTC-certified massage therapists or students in a CAMTC-approved program

  • Other bodywork backgrounds or out-of-state licenses considered

If this resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.
