Seated Massage
Our unique certificate program in seated massage and social responsibility focuses on developing skills to engage and empower homeless and marginally housed people through touch. Trainings include study and reflection in areas of social concerns, responsibility, action and transformation.

Two training options: Two Week Intensive or Five Month Program
Earn a certificate in Seated Massage Therapy, Social Responsibility & Spiritual Practice
Students will be trained in:
- Seated Massage Therapy
- Spirituality of Care and Compassion
- Study and Reflection on the Social Issues of Homelessness and Poverty
- Self-Care Practices
- Supervised work in the Community is an essential part of the program.
Two Week Intensive Program
This is an 80-hour intensive training program followed by a 100 hour internship program. Participants engage in supervised service work in San Francisco, do assigned readings, reflect on their experiences through written field site reflection reports, and engage in spiritual practices that strengthen their commitment to serve wisely, skillfully and compassionately. No previous massage experience is required.

This 180-hour training program consists of 6 modules over a 5-month period. Classes for each module are held over a weekend. Between modules participants engage in a minimum of 10 hours of supervised service work in San Francisco, do assigned readings, reflect on their experiences through written field site reflection reports, and engage in spiritual practices that strengthen their commitment to serve wisely, skillfully and compassionately. No previous massage experience is required.

Comfort, Care & Companioning Volunteer Ministry Education Program (CCCP)
Comfort, Care & Companioning program is a spiritual care program committed to bringing about healthy, helpful and meaningful relationships between volunteers and elderly women and men who are homeless or marginally housed in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. Training for volunteers will consist of workshops pertinent to health issues regarding aging; social issues unique to those aging in poverty (economic, social and spiritual); spiritual concerns; self-care and spiritual practices to ground one in the art of compassionate presence.
